The photographer you choose should be adept with editing naturally without all the extra photoshop. Timelessness has a lot to do with authenticity: Capturing exactly what is in front of you, as it is, without unnecessary fluff!
On another note, I will often will have people remove any trendy sunglasses, watches, or other accessories that might date the photograph. Fashion can be a telling indicator of when the photo was taken. Apart from the details related to your wedding date, it’s preferable to avoid elements that might provide clues about the time it was captured.
